Hi! I bet you are wondering.. Who are we?
Well... We is me, and I'm Suryka Pretorius
I grew up in Alberton just outside Johannesburg, got my degree at the University of the Free State in 2020.I started my real world experience in Kimberley where I completed my community service year.
Thereafter, Klerksdorp opened it's doors for me and my love for physical rehab grew and it just keeps on growing each day.
In 2022 I got certified as a Lymphedema Therapist through @lymph_africa. This opened up yet another door in my OT heart!
My focus is Acute Rehab , anything related to oedema and lymphoedema but basically you can say its to make a difference and influence.
I chose occupational therapy to help those who can't help themselves and I strive to offer a better service each day.

Lymphoedema assessment and management
We start off by doing an initial evaluation, within this session we will provide you with a detailed information pack explaining all about Lymphoedema. Followed by a treatment plan
Hand therapy
We see a range of different hand injuries. -fracture -tendon repairs-burn wounds-rheumatoid arthritis -stiff hands-amupations -splinting
Pressure garments
We assist with the pressure garments for scaring, oedema or pain.
Neuro Rehab
We are MOCA trained able to assist with cognitive assessment and treatment.We also treat various conditions such az: Strokes, dementia, head injuries, etc.
